Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Release Date Finally Confirmed — Officially This Time

Author : George Feb 20,2025

The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was officially unveiled during Sony's State of Play 2025 presentation, confirming previous leaks. A new trailer accompanied the announcement, solidifying the August 28, 2025 launch.

The PlayStation Store had prematurely revealed both the date and trailer last week.

Intriguingly, a collaboration with Ape Escape was teased, followed by the cryptic phrase "And More," hinting at future crossovers. This initial crossover appears to reference the monkey minigame from the original Metal Gear Solid 3, where Snake used stun grenades and his unique weapon to subdue primates.

PlayWhile boasting a new first-person viewpoint, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remains largely a faithful recreation of its predecessor. IGN's preview described it as a "very shiny HD remaster," praising its visual fidelity but noting its almost unwavering adherence to the original, potentially at the expense of innovative reimagining.
