Marvel Contest of Champions Champion Cards Guide
Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC) extends beyond mobile gaming; it boasts an arcade version at Dave & Buster's, offering a unique 3v3 battle experience for two players. The winning player is decided through a best-of-three match. However, the real draw? Both players receive a Champion Card after each match – a physical collectible featuring a Marvel hero or villain from the game.

These cards aren't just for show; they're scannable in the arcade machine to select specific champions before a match. With two series released, over 175 cards are available, including standard and foil variants. This guide covers everything you need to know about MCoC Champion Cards, whether you're aiming for strategic advantage or collection completion.
What are Champion Cards?
Champion Cards are physical trading cards dispensed by MCoC arcade machines at Dave & Buster's. Each card represents a game character and allows champion selection during arcade gameplay. Unscanned matches result in random champion assignments.
Each card showcases a Marvel character from MCoC and features a foil variant, similar to other collectible arcade cards (e.g., Mario Kart Arcade GP, Injustice Arcade). Series 1 introduced 75 champions, while Series 2 added 100, including reskins and new characters.
A Champion Card is dispensed to each player post-match, regardless of victory. The card is randomly assigned; winning doesn't influence the card received. Cards are from Series 1 (75 champions) or Series 2 (100 champions), each with a rarer foil variant.
While not mandatory for arcade gameplay, Champion Cards enhance strategy and customization, letting players choose champions instead of relying on random selection. Note: These cards don't transfer to the mobile MCoC game, but add a unique collectible element. For mobile MCoC tips, see our beginner's guide!
Champion Card Rarity and Collectibility
MCoC Champion Cards offer collectible value. While in-game functionality is identical across cards, the allure lies in completing the set, including rarer foil versions. Series 2 introduced new designs and reskins of Series 1 characters, resulting in multiple versions of some champions.
Available Cards:
- Series 1 (2019): 75 classic MCoC characters.
- Series 2 (later release): 100 cards, featuring reskins and new additions.
- Foil Variants: Rarer, more valuable versions of standard cards.
Collectors aim for complete sets, favorite characters, or foil cards. Their Dave & Buster's exclusivity adds to their appeal.
