Lovecraftian Puzzler 'My Father Lied' Arrives on Android
In a world brimming with video games, finding a truly unique experience can be challenging. My Father Lied, however, stands out with its captivating narrative. This mystery/Lovecraftian puzzle adventure offers a compelling story that sets it apart from the crowd.
My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Vision
The game's creation story is as fascinating as the game itself. Ahmed Alameen, the developer, initially pursued a career in writing and filmmaking. A collaborative game project with a college friend fell through, but the story remained. Alameen, driven by his vision, independently learned 3D modeling and Unreal Engine, bringing his concept to life. Even the game's title was a collaborative effort with his wife.
Unraveling the Mystery
My Father Lied plunges players into a captivating mystery steeped in ancient Mesopotamian myths, secrets, puzzles, and unexpected twists. Players step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: What happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, is far from straightforward.
Blending ancient Mesopotamian culture with modern storytelling, My Father Lied presents a unique narrative. The gameplay features simple point-and-click mechanics, beautiful 2D visuals, and immersive 360-degree images.
