Limp Bizkit Rocks Devil May Cry Anime Opener

Netflix has stirred excitement among fans by announcing the premiere date for the anime adaptation of the iconic video game series, Devil May Cry, along with releasing its opening trailer. The trailer, set against the backdrop of Limp Bizkit's legendary track "Rollin'," showcases dynamic scenes featuring young Dante, Lady, and White Rabbit, filled with nods to the beloved games.

Showrunner Adi Shankar shared his vision for the series, noting that the events are set in the late 90s to early 2000s. He emphasized that the soundtrack, featuring Limp Bizkit and other iconic tracks from that era, perfectly captures the spirit of the time. Additionally, fans can expect to hear reworked soundtracks from the games by the synthwave duo Power Glove.

Shankar also hinted at the series' future, stating that subsequent seasons will vary in visual style and soundtrack to reflect the diversity of the Devil May Cry games. This suggests that the anime will extend beyond a single season, promising a rich and evolving narrative.

While plot details remain under wraps, the first season is slated to draw inspiration from the manga "Code 1: Dante" (Devil May Cry 3). It will follow the adventures of a young demon hunter, Dante, as he investigates the disappearance of a child, leading him to confront his past, family, and the legacy of his demon father, Sparda.

Comprising 8 episodes, the first season of the Devil May Cry anime is set to premiere on April 3, 2025, offering fans an eagerly anticipated dive into the world of stylish demon hunting.
