Lies of P DLC Teased, Sequel to Come as Well
Lies of P: DLC and Sequel Announced – A Director's Message
Director Ji-Won Choi recently unveiled exciting news for Lies of P fans: upcoming DLC and a full sequel! This announcement, a heartfelt thank you to the community, also offered a sneak peek at the game's expansion.
Expanding the World of Lies of P
Choi's message celebrated Lies of P's one-year anniversary, highlighting the team's dedication to developing the DLC amidst a busy schedule. He stressed the importance of fan feedback, promising the DLC will build upon the base game's strengths while addressing previous issues. The goal, he stated, is to "do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow." He also expressed gratitude to Team NOUGH and ROUND8 Studio.
A key reveal was concept art depicting P in a snowy location, gazing at a lighthouse, hinting at a new, perilous chapter. Accompanying this was a musical snippet from the DLC's soundtrack, a previously composed track, "Lisrim," by onoken, re-contextualized for the expansion. A music video featuring clockwork weaponry and a rescue mission further enhances the mysterious atmosphere.
DLC Release and Beyond
While a specific release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch within the second half of 2024. This will coincide with the release of other NEOWIZ titles: The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, Cats & Soup: Malang Town, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, and Project IG.
Previously released concept art showcases distinct environments: a massive industrial facility and a treacherous shipwreck, further expanding the game's world.
Choi concluded his message by assuring fans that the DLC is only the beginning, with a full sequel already in development. The wait for more concrete information continues, but the future of Lies of P looks incredibly promising.
