Hunt the Wilds of America: Way of the Hunter CBT Arrives on Mobile
Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to smartphones and tablets. PC players are already familiar with its acclaimed gameplay. Originally released by Nine Rocks Games in August 2022 for PC and consoles, the mobile port is currently in beta testing, with THQ Nordic and HandyGames planning a soon release.
Will the Mobile Version be Complete?
While some graphical compromises are expected due to the limitations of mobile hardware, the core gameplay and DLC content are planned for inclusion post-launch. HandyGames has announced a closed beta test (CBT) via a tweet, providing a signup form for interested players on their official X account.
A Top-Tier Hunting Simulation?
Way of the Hunter challenges players with realistic hunting mechanics, requiring patience and strategic thinking. Animals behave naturally, reacting to the player's actions. The game features vast open-world environments inspired by the USA and Europe, offering a substantial 55-square-mile hunting ground.
Authentic hunting weapons, from rifles to bows, are available. Players can analyze blood splatter and track animal signs to locate their quarry. The ecosystem is dynamic, with animals relocating if over-hunted.
An in-game economy allows players to sell harvested meat to purchase upgraded equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for their lodge. Both campaign and co-op modes are included, with full controller support on mobile. For further details, visit the official website.
