Hollow Knight Silksong creators troll the community with a “delicious teaser”

Hollow Knight Silksong's release remains elusive, much to the amusement (and frustration) of its dedicated fanbase. The game, initially anticipated in 2024, continues to elude a firm release date, leaving fans eagerly awaiting its arrival in the current year. Recently, a cryptic image—a single cake—released by Team Cherry ignited speculation of an Alternate Reality Game (ARG).

This fervor, however, was quickly tempered by the developers, who clarified that the cake image was not part of an ARG. Despite this "official" explanation, many fans remain unconvinced, clinging to theories suggesting a full game reveal is imminent, possibly in April.

Meanwhile, development continues, and the release date remains shrouded in mystery. Team Cherry's previous title, Hollow Knight, a critically acclaimed action-adventure game, set a high bar. The game follows a silent knight on a journey through the interconnected, decaying kingdom of Hallownest, filled with challenging battles, intricate puzzles, and a rich, captivating story.
