Hearthstone Is Dropping Battlegrounds Season 9 Soon with Major Changes!

Hearthstone's Battlegrounds Season 9: A Cosmic Overhaul

Get ready for a celestial upgrade! Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9 launches December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes. Prepare for cosmic themes, cutting-edge tech, and a completely revamped minion lineup – it's a Tavern transformation!

Key Changes:

  • Bob's Technotavern Overhaul: Expect a rating reset and the retirement of Trinkets. In their place? Battlegrounds Tokens! These allow you to reroll a hero option at the selection screen, offering a lifeline if your initial choices are less than ideal.

  • Staggered Minion and Hero Reveals: The reveal schedule is as follows: Naga and Dragon reveals (already happened), Quilboar and Beast reveals (November 21st), Pirate and Duos-only reveals (November 22nd), Murloc and Demon reveals (November 25th), Elemental and Undead reveals (November 26th), and preview event streams with 31.2 patch notes on December 2nd.

  • New Heroes and Minions: Three brand-new heroes are joining the fray, with Farseer Nobundo already generating considerable buzz. Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are either entering or leaving the pool, shaking up familiar strategies.

  • Solo Battlegrounds Damage Cap Adjustment: A new damage cap is introduced for solo games only: 5 damage early game, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. This cap is removed once you reach the top 4.

  • Phased Minion Release: The update goes live December 3rd with Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs. Murlocs and Demons arrive December 5th, followed by Undead and Elementals on December 9th.
