Shift Up, the developer behind the acclaimed action-adventure game Stellar Blade, recently rewarded its employees with a generous year-end bonus: a PlayStation 5 Pro console and approximately $3,400. This significant gesture follows the game's remarkable success since its April 2024 release.

Stellar Blade, despite initial controversy surrounding its character design, achieved widespread popularity on the PS5. The game garnered an 82 average score on OpenCritic, received numerous awards and nominations, and earned praise for its engaging combat, stunning visuals, and captivating soundtrack. The game's continued success is further fueled by several high-profile collaborations.

A heartwarming video shared on Twitter showcased Shift Up's over 300 employees receiving their PlayStation 5 Pros. The substantial cash bonus, averaging around $3,400 per employee, aims to incentivize and motivate the team for future projects. This generosity comes after Shift Up's highly successful $320 million initial public offering in July 2024, making it the second-largest IPO in South Korea that year.

Initially a PlayStation 5 exclusive, Stellar Blade is slated for a PC release in 2025.
