"Dreadmoor: New PC Game Blends Fishing with Post-Apocalyptic Mystery"
Developer Dream Dock has unveiled an exciting new first-person single-player action-adventure game called Dreadmoor, drawing inspiration from the 2023 hit, Dredge. In Dreadmoor, players will navigate the perilous waters of a post-apocalyptic world known as the Drownlands, piloting a fishing trawler. This game promises a rich experience where you'll fish, explore mysterious submerged ruins, battle monstrous creatures, craft essential items, and upgrade your boat to survive the harsh environment. Dreadmoor is currently in development for PC, and you can catch a glimpse of the adventure through the announcement trailer and a gallery of the first screenshots below.
Dream Dock describes Dreadmoor as an immersive journey into a world transformed by a global nuclear war, where continents have vanished beneath the ocean, leaving behind a landscape of scattered islands and the eerie ruins of ancient civilizations. In this survival-driven game, players will sell their catches to fellow survivors, undertake quests, and inch closer to survival. However, the dangers lurking in the Drownlands are many: players must monitor their ship's cargo hold, as the creatures within might devour each other. To uncover the secrets hidden in the depths and explore abandoned structures, players will need to upgrade their ship and craft specialized equipment. The game's world is fraught with mutated creatures and sinister mysteries, especially at night, and players must also contend with the ever-present threat of radiation.

Dreadmoor offers an expansive fishing experience with over 100 species of fish to catch. The deepest and most challenging catches will require the most unusual bait but will reward players handsomely. Beyond fishing, players will scavenge for resources and explore both the surface and underwater realms of the Drownlands. If Dreadmoor piques your interest, you can add it to your wishlist on Steam.
