Diablo 4 Reveals New Consumables Coming in Season 5
Diablo IV Season 5 Leaked: New Consumables and Infernal Hordes Mode Unveiled
Exciting new details about Diablo IV Season 5 have emerged from this week's Public Test Realm (PTR) opening. The PTR allows players to test upcoming features, and this time, the spotlight is on new consumables and a thrilling new game mode.
Consumables in Diablo IV are items used to replenish resources or provide temporary buffs. Acquired through monster kills, chests, crests, or merchants, they include healing potions, elixirs (offering buffs like increased armor), and incense (boosting maximum life or elemental resistance). Season 5 significantly expands this system.
According to Wowhead, four new consumables are on the horizon:
- Antipathy: A rare anointment boosting resistance.
- Blackblood: A common anointment enhancing a random core stat.
- Vitriol: A magical anointment increasing damage over time.
- Triune Anointment Cache: A new cache containing anointments, rare gear, and crafting materials.
These consumables will be exclusive to the new Infernal Hordes endgame mode. Furthermore, recipes for these anointments will be available, suggesting crafting will play a role.
Infernal Hordes: A Roguelite Endgame Experience
Season 5 introduces Infernal Hordes, a challenging roguelite mode where players face waves of enemies within a 90-second timeframe. After clearing each wave, players select from three modifiers impacting the subsequent rounds. Naturally, greater difficulty equates to more rewarding loot.
Abyssal Scrolls, functioning similarly to the Profane Mindcage Elixir in Helltides, will be available to increase the challenge in Infernal Hordes.
While details on obtaining, usage costs, and crafting materials for the new consumables remain scarce, the PTR, open until July 2nd, promises to reveal more information in the coming weeks. Players eagerly anticipate further details on these exciting additions to Diablo IV.
