CoD: Black Ops 6 to Enhance Completion Tracking with New Feature
Treyarch is developing a much-requested in-game challenge tracker for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This feature, present in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, was notably absent from Black Ops 6's launch, disappointing many players. While a release date remains unannounced, its arrival is anticipated alongside a significant content update slated for later this month (Season 2).
A recent January 9th update addressed various bug fixes impacting the game's UI and audio across both Multiplayer and Zombies modes. Multiplayer also saw an XP boost for the Red Light, Green Light game mode. Significantly, Treyarch reversed a controversial Zombies change from January 3rd, restoring the original round timing and zombie spawn mechanics in Directed Mode after player feedback.
Challenge Tracking on the Way
Treyarch confirmed the challenge tracker's development via Twitter, responding directly to a player inquiry. The functionality, highly valued in Modern Warfare 3, is expected to provide real-time challenge progress updates within the game's UI, mirroring Modern Warfare 3's implementation. This will greatly benefit players pursuing Mastery camos and other challenging objectives.
Additional Improvements Planned
In another Twitter interaction, Treyarch confirmed the development of separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies modes, addressing player frustration with the need to constantly adjust HUD settings between game modes. Both the challenge tracker and separate HUD settings are currently under development.
