Firaxis Games, the developers behind Civ VII, have shared their roadmap, outlining four significant content drops planned for March. Days before the game's release, they detailed the early and late March updates, categorized into Content Collections (paid DLC), Free Updates, and Events & Challenges. Here's what's coming:
Looking beyond March, Firaxis teased even more content: two additional leaders, four new civilizations, and four world wonders, alongside new events and challenges. While release dates for this content remain unannounced, players can anticipate its arrival sometime in the future. Further content releases are also planned for October 2025 and beyond.
The developers also acknowledged several planned updates that didn't make the initial launch. While release dates are currently unavailable, development is underway:
- Adding teams to multiplayer games.
- Increasing the multiplayer player limit to eight.
- Allowing players to select starting and ending ages.
- Expanding the variety of map types available.
- Implementing hotseat multiplayer.
