Civ 7 Ghandi DLC Might Be Coming After All

Firaxis Games hasn't ruled out the possibility of Gandhi's return to Civilization VII, suggesting he may appear as DLC. This follows an IGN interview with lead designer Ed Beach on February 13, 2025, clarifying the absence of certain historical figures from the initial launch roster.

Beach addressed concerns regarding the exclusion of prominent civilizations like Great Britain and India, stating that the decision stemmed from the sheer number of popular choices. To ensure a fresh and exciting experience, some familiar faces had to be omitted initially. However, he emphasized that Firaxis is considering the long-term inclusion of these leaders and civilizations, leaving the door open for Gandhi's eventual comeback.

The developer's strategy mirrors the extensive DLC releases in Civilization VI, suggesting a strong likelihood of Gandhi's inclusion in Civ VII, although the precise timeframe remains undetermined.
