Celestial Marketplace Unveils 'Universe for Sale' on Cosmic Jupiter

Akupara Games and Tmesis Studio's latest adventure game, Universe for Sale, is now available. Following successful releases like The Darkside Detective series and Zoeti earlier this year, Akupara Games continues to deliver intriguing titles.

Is the Universe Actually for Sale?

The game unfolds on a Jupiter space station, a bizarre marketplace shrouded in acid rain and mystery. Orangutans with surprising intellect work the docks, and cultists trade flesh for spiritual enlightenment. The universe itself is for sale, thanks to Lila, a woman with the unusual ability to create universes from her hand.

The game begins in the dilapidated mining colony shantytown. You play as the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment – a character both unsettling and captivating.

Exploring the ramshackle colony, filled with quirky tea shops and other oddities, you eventually discover Honin's Tea House, Lila's shop. Lila's enigmatic nature gradually unfolds as you shift between her perspective and the Master's throughout the game.

Playing as Lila involves a mini-game of universe creation, mixing and matching ingredients to produce visually stunning worlds. The Master's journey delves into the Cult of Detachment's philosophies and encounters with the Church of Many Gods.

The narrative unfolds, prompting speculation about the overarching mystery. Every character, whether human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique story, and the richly detailed world invites exploration.
