Use Flash Pods
Despite its massive build, Doshaguma moves with surprising agility. It can leap and charge across the battlefield, creating difficulties for hunters using close-range weapons. Temporarily disorient the creature by deploying a Flash Pod, which blinds it for several seconds and creates openings to attack or mount it.
Aim for the Legs
Focus your attacks on Doshaguma's legs for maximum effect. The forelegs show a 3-star weakness, making them highly vulnerable to damage. The hind legs only have a 2-star weakness, so they're less ideal. The head also presents a 3-star weak point. While dealing reduced damage, targeting the tail remains viable since it can be severed for additional crafting materials.
Employ Fire and Lightning Elements
Fire and lightning elements prove most effective against Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds. Bowgun users should stock Flaming and Thunder ammunition. Alternatively, equip weapon decorations that enhance fire abilities. When using fire attacks, concentrate on the head and torso. For lightning damage, focus exclusively on the creature's head.
Watch for Blastblight
Beyond physical assaults, Doshaguma can inflict Blastblight status. This condition triggers an explosion when the buildup gauge fills or after receiving a powerful hit. Counter this effect by consuming Nulberries or Deodorant. Alternatively, perform up to three consecutive dodges to shake off the affliction.
Utilize Traps
While relentless offense might seem appealing, remain aware of your surroundings. Doshaguma's territory often contains environmental hazards you can activate to impede it. Remember to stow your weapon before operating your slinger. Ensure the monster stands directly beneath the trap before triggering it.

Capturing Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds

Instead of slaying the beast, you can capture Doshaguma alive in Monster Hunter Wilds. Weaken the monster until its health drops to 20% or lower, then position a Shock or Pitfall Trap in its path. Lure the creature onto the trap—if it ignores you, employ Luring Ammo or place bait meat. Once trapped, immediately fire tranquilizer darts. Multiple shots may be necessary to fully sedate it.
