Avowed's world encourages exploration, and treasure maps are a key part of that. This guide details how to find and utilize Captain Henqua's Spoils treasure map in Dawnshore, the game's initial area.

Locating the Treasure Map

The map is located atop the lighthouse in the western part of Calviger’s Landing, situated in the southern Living Lands region. Ascend the lighthouse using the external ledges and scaffolding. The treasure map awaits at the summit.

Finding Captain Henqua's Spoils

Following the map, head north along the river from the lighthouse until you reach a broken bridge (northeast of the Old Pargrun Wall and Western Pargrun Wall Beacon fast travel point). Swim to the western opening in the riverbed, entering a cave. The chest containing the Wind and Wave shield is inside.

The Wind and Wave Shield

This Superb Quality shield boasts a 10% movement speed increase and 20% Frost Accumulation resistance. It's significantly more powerful than early-game alternatives and can be upgraded to Legendary quality with rare materials like Glasswood Branches and Adra Ban.
