Breaking: End of Service Announced for Popular Gacha Game
Soul Tide's journey is coming to a close. Developers IQI Games and publisher LemcnSun Entertainment have announced the End of Service (EOS) for Soul Tide. After two years and ten months since its global mobile launch, the game will officially shut down on February 28th, 2025.
Soul Tide's Final Curtain:
Effective immediately, Soul Tide is unavailable for download on the Play Store, and in-app purchases are disabled. Any remaining in-game resources should be used before the shutdown, as all game data will be permanently deleted.
However, before the EOS, a final content update is planned, offering a special send-off for dedicated players. Details will be revealed soon via the official X account.
A Retrospective on Soul Tide:
Soul Tide is a unique dungeon crawler featuring turn-based combat, anime girl collection, home simulation, and dungeon exploration elements. Initially launched in Japan in 2021, it's set in a fantasy world ravaged by witches, incorporating dating sim and roguelite mechanics.
The game initially garnered positive reviews, praised for its engaging gameplay and charming, storybook-inspired art style. Unlike many gacha games, Soul Tide's characters possessed significant depth.
Unfortunately, challenges arose over time, including unfavorable gacha rates, an unintuitive user interface (UI), and inconsistent translation.
While the game remains accessible on the Google Play Store (for resource utilization only), its impending closure marks the end of an era.
