What Can You Do After You Finish Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Answered
After finishing the main quest, the world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows remains open for you to explore. The game's vast open world is filled with side content that remains accessible post-main quest. This means you can continue to explore and fully immerse yourself in the rich setting of Feudal Japan at your leisure.
Moreover, post-launch, the Animus will introduce new weekly challenges for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, ensuring that even after achieving 100% completion, there's always something new to tackle.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained
Rolling the credits doesn't necessarily mean the end of the story. In my playthrough, the credits rolled after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, I had not yet received the trophy for completing Act 3 or The Epilogue. To unlock the epilogue and experience the true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. After that, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko to unlock the complete ending and earn the associated achievements.
Additionally, exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke becomes available near the game's end. These armor sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist’s playstyle and are designed to appeal to long-time fans of the Assassin’s Creed series.
As for endgame content, players can continue to level up and progress well beyond the credits, reaching the game’s maximum level cap.
What’s Next For Assassin’s Creed Shadows?
While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, the game's future looks bright with planned updates. New content will be added through the Animus, and the in-game store is expected to receive new items. Furthermore, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release later in 2025, taking players to the Island of Awaji and adding over 10 hours of new content.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
