Battledom Alpha Testing Begins for Intense Strategy Game

Indie game developer Sander Frenken has revealed that his upcoming strategy game, Battledom, is currently undergoing alpha testing. This RTS-lite title serves as a spiritual successor to Frenken's 2020 hit, Herodom. Developed over approximately two years by the part-time developer, Battledom represents a refined vision similar to his initial concept for Herodom.

Battledom introduces flexible RTS battle mechanics, enabling players to freely maneuver units across the battlefield. Players directly target enemies and manually control siege weapons for devastating attacks. Strategic formations enhance gameplay, adding a layer of tactical depth.

Players use in-game currency to recruit units, initially equipped with basic weapons and no armor. Customization is key; players can equip units with various weapons and armor pieces, each impacting stats such as range, accuracy, defense, and attack power.

Quarry with stones in buckets and an elevator lifting a bucket of stoneResource gathering is crucial. Instead of finding equipment through exploration, players must craft items within their village. This involves collecting resources like wood, leather, and coal, and utilizing the services of the blacksmith, magician, and other village crafters.

Frenken's previous title, Herodom, enjoys a 4.6 App Store rating, showcasing its success. Featuring over 55 collectible heroes, 150+ units and siege weapons, and historically-inspired battles, Herodom offers a rich gameplay experience, including unlocking new character customization options and farm additions.

iOS users can participate in the Battledom alpha test by downloading TestFlight. For updates and news, follow Sander Frenken on X or Reddit, or explore his other games on the App Store.
