"Avowed's First Month Marked by Major Update, Enhanced Features"
Just one month following its launch, and its inclusion on Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have released an exciting new trailer for Avowed. This trailer celebrates the game's success by featuring a compilation of glowing reviews and quotes from respected gaming journalists, underscoring the positive reception of this action-RPG.
A recent update has introduced support for DLSS 4, enhancing the game with Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These advanced technologies significantly boost performance, as demonstrated by NVIDIA, which showed frame rates tripling at 4K settings, reaching up to an impressive 340 FPS. Furthermore, the developers have hinted at forthcoming announcements regarding the game’s future support and roadmap in the upcoming weeks.
Beyond technical enhancements, this update also enriches the player experience. Players can now earn an additional talent point every five levels, and those who have already advanced in the game will receive their points retroactively upon loading. For keyboard and mouse users, a new feature allows toggling between walking and running, enhancing gameplay control. Additionally, a new accessibility option has been added, allowing players to increase font sizes in documents, guides, and other in-game texts, making the game more accessible to everyone.
While Avowed didn't completely silence the critics, it has still managed to secure robust reviews. Digital Foundry hailed the game as a technical "triumph," further cementing Avowed's status as a remarkable achievement from Obsidian.
