"Avowed: Post-Game Secrets Revealed"

Author : Emma May 14,2025

While the world of the Living Lands in *Avowed* feels expansive, the main quest in Obsidian’s latest RPG is actually quite short. If you're eager for more adventures after the credits roll, here's what you can expect post-gameplay.

Does Avowed Have New Game Plus?

For many completionists, the thrill of replaying a game on a higher difficulty with the skills and gear earned is a cherished experience, especially in RPGs. Unfortunately, *Avowed* does not feature a New Game Plus mode at launch. However, there's hope on the horizon as Obsidian might consider adding this feature in future updates or DLCs, responding to the community's strong interest in such a mode.

Even without a New Game Plus, *Avowed* offers compelling reasons to start anew. The game's design allows for numerous choices that significantly impact the story and gameplay. Creating a new save to explore different endings and character builds can be incredibly rewarding, making a fresh start well worth it.

Does Avowed Have Endgame Content?

*Avowed* is structured around four main regions, along with a secret unnamed finale area and a return to one of the game’s major cities, which we won’t spoil here. These final sections challenge players to utilize Legendary Quality Weapons and Gear for survival. However, this challenge does not extend to previous regions, and no new areas become accessible after the credits roll. It's disappointing that players can't witness the Living Lands evolve based on their choices post-game.

What You Can Do After You Beat Avowed

With no New Game Plus and a lack of endgame content, *Avowed’s* post-game offerings might feel underwhelming. After the final encounter, you'll be treated to several minutes of animatic cutscenes that reveal the consequences of your decisions, giving you a glimpse into how your choices shaped the world and characters of the Living Lands. Once these scenes conclude, you'll return to the Main Menu.

From the Main Menu, you have the option to embark on a new journey with a different Envoy or reload a previous *Avowed* save. You can access autosaves from just before the point of no return and before the final encounter, allowing you to replay these sections and experiment with different decisions to achieve varied story outcomes and endings.

Reloading to a save before the point of no return also grants you the opportunity to revisit earlier regions. You can complete the map, earn achievements, finish side quests, and collect missed items. Since enemies in these regions do not scale to match your level, returning to early areas like Dawnshore with your upgraded Legendary Quality gear can be a thrilling experience.

And that’s what happens after you beat *Avowed*.

*Avowed is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.*
