Growing demand for a new Star Wars Battlefront installment has gained momentum with support from Andor actor Muhannad Ben Amor. Recent weeks witnessed a surge in players returning to Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017), marking its highest Steam player count in years despite discontinued developer support.

Ben Amor, who portrayed rebel hero Wilmon Paak in Andor, joined fan campaigns for a sequel via social media. "Star Wars gotta give us Battlefront 3 ASAP," the actor posted on Instagram alongside screenshots showing 469 hours of gameplay. "Grew up with Battlefront 2—been a veteran since day one," he added, fueling hopes for another installment.

The resurgence in Battlefront 2's popularity coincides with Andor's acclaimed second season and May the 4th celebrations. After years averaging 2,000 concurrent Steam players, the game now approaches its all-time peak of 10,000 simultaneous users. This revival comes five years after its controversial loot box launch - a system later removed following player backlash.

While the renewed interest sparks speculation about Battlefront 3, developer DICE remains focused on its upcoming Battlefield title. The studio currently runs playtests for the unannounced project, expected to debut this summer. Meanwhile, Electronic Arts maintains Star Wars gaming presence through Respawn's developing Jedi series sequel.

IGN's retrospective review acknowledged Battlefront 2's remarkable turnaround: "A redemption story worthy of the Skywalker saga... offering one of the most authentic Star Wars gaming experiences." Whether this resurgence translates to a sequel remains uncertain as DICE prioritizes its military shooter franchise.
