Alien Movies in (Chronological) Order
1. AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004)
The saga of the Xenomorphs begins in the first of the two crossover films, AVP: Alien vs. Predator. Directed by Paul W. S. Anderson of Resident Evil and Event Horizon fame, this film is set in 2004 and introduces the epic "battle of the titans" concept, originally from a 1989 comic. Here, humans uncover that Predators, known as the "Yautja," have been visiting Earth for millennia. Ancient cults worshipped them, sacrificing themselves to the Xenomorph Queen's brood, the facehuggers, to spawn adult Xenomorphs for the Predators to hunt as the "ultimate prey." Unfortunately, their 2004 hunting expedition doesn't go as planned.
