Adventure RPG with Food Souls The Tale of Food Announces Shutdown

The popular mobile RPG, The Tale of Food, featuring anthropomorphic food characters, is officially shutting down. Initially launched in China in September 2019 and later distributed by Tencent Games, the game's servers will cease operations on March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8).

Shutdown Timeline:

• February 18th, 2025: In-app purchases disabled. New player registration halted. Game removed from the Google Play Store.
• March 20th, 2025, 10:00 AM (UTC+8): Servers shut down.

Players who already have the game downloaded can continue playing until the server closure.

Refund Information:

Players who made in-app purchases between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, are eligible for a refund. Contact in-game support or email the developers before March 20th to request a refund. Details regarding the Terms & Conditions of the shutdown can be found on the official The Tale of Food X (formerly Twitter) account.

Server Closure History:

The Japan server shut down in April 2023, followed by the China server in June 2024. This marks the end of the global version.

While the game itself will be unavailable after March 20th, the official X, Facebook, and Discord communities will remain active, providing a space for players to connect and share memories.
