Ace Trainer is a new Farlight Games release, in soft launch for select regions

Farlight Games, fresh off their successful 2024 collaboration with Lilith Games on AFK Journey, has a new mobile title in the works: Ace Trainer. Currently in soft launch in South Korea and the US, this game blends several popular genres in an unexpected way.

Ace Trainer features creature collection, training, and leveling, reminiscent of Pokémon. However, instead of traditional turn-based battles, Farlight incorporates tower defense elements, pitting your creatures against zombie hordes. Adding another layer of complexity, pinball mechanics are integrated for resource gathering. This unique fusion of genres makes Ace Trainer a fascinating, albeit potentially overwhelming, experience.

The game's diverse gameplay – encompassing PvP, PvE, tower defense, and pinball – is ambitious. While this eclectic mix might appeal to some, the sheer number of mechanics raises questions about long-term playability and balance. Whether this ambitious approach will translate to widespread success remains to be seen, but the multi-regional soft launch suggests Farlight has high hopes for Ace Trainer.
