Xbox Cloud Gaming\'s beta now lets you play your own games, even outside the catalogue
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate expands cloud gaming capabilities, enabling streaming of personally owned titles beyond the standard Game Pass library. This significant update, currently in beta and available in 28 countries, adds 50 new games to the cloud streaming service.
Previously, cloud gaming was limited to titles within the Game Pass catalogue. This change allows users to stream games from their personal libraries via phones and tablets.
High-profile titles such as Baldur's Gate 3, Space Marine 2, and others, previously inaccessible via cloud streaming, are now playable. This represents a substantial advancement in cloud gaming accessibility.
Expanding Cloud Gaming Horizons
This feature addresses a long-standing limitation of cloud gaming services—restricted game selection. The ability to stream personally owned games significantly enhances the platform's appeal and usability.
This expansion also positions cloud gaming to compete more effectively with traditional mobile gaming. While cloud gaming has existed for some time, this new feature is expected to accelerate its growth and adoption.
