Rummy 500 (also known as Persian Rummy, Pinochle Rummy, 500 Rum, or 500 Rummy) is a popular variation of Rummy. Unlike standard Rummy, players can draw multiple cards from the discard pile, adding a strategic layer to gameplay.

In Rummy 500, points are awarded for melded cards and deducted for unmelded cards (deadwood) remaining in your hand at the end of a round.

Game Rules:

• Supports 2-4 players.
• Uses a single deck with jokers.
• Each player begins with 7 cards.
• The first player to reach 500 points wins. If multiple players reach 500, the player with the highest score wins.
• Create sets (3-4 cards of the same rank) and sequences (3 or more cards of the same suit in order). Scoring is based on card values within these combinations.
• Turns consist of drawing a card, then discarding a card. Players can also meld or add to existing melds (building).
• Jokers are wild cards, usable as any card.
• When drawing from the discard pile, the last discarded card must be used immediately in a meld.
• Royalty cards are worth 10 points each. Aces are 11 points (in a meld) or incur a 15-point penalty if held at the end of a round. Jokers take the value of the card they replace, plus a 15-point penalty if held.
• The game consists of multiple rounds; scores accumulate until a player reaches or exceeds 500 points. Ties result in a playoff.
