These are some early-game insights that would have saved us considerable time and frustration.
Avoid Unprovoked PvP
Screenshot by The EscapistWhile Rune Slayer's full-loot PvP initially caused concern, it's less brutal than expected. Death doesn't result in item loss, regardless of the killer. However, attacking players incurs a bounty. The higher the bounty, the more loot you drop upon death. Therefore, avoid attacking unless strategically advantageous or backed by a group.
Craft Bags Immediately
Screenshot by The EscapistInventory and bank space are severely limited. Fortunately, crafting bags expands capacity. The initial Cotton Bag provides 10 extra slots. Gather Cotton north of Wayshire and Flax south (beware of stronger mobs in the south) to craft these essential items promptly.
Pet Deaths are Temporary
Screenshot by The EscapistContrary to popular belief, pets don't die permanently. After reaching zero health, they're unavailable for 5 minutes (check the cooldown using the 'T' key). After this cooldown, simply use 'T' to resummon them. Bonus: Quickly heal your pet by storing and retrieving it at the stable master (you have one free slot).
Accept Every Quest
Screenshot by The EscapistRune Slayer features numerous, often forgettable, "kill X" quests. To streamline progression, accept every quest offered, including those from the job board. This often allows for efficient quest chaining.
Craft Everything at Least Once

Join a Guild
While Rune Slayer is solo-friendly, tougher enemies necessitate group play. Joining a guild is the easiest way to find groups for challenging encounters. Use general chat or the official Rune Slayer Discord to find a suitable guild.
