Suicide Squad Game: Final Update Released
Summary
Rocksteady Studios has released the final major content update, Season 4 Episode 8, for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, this update concludes the game's live-service content. While no further content will be developed, online servers will remain active.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, released to mixed reception in February 2024, will cease receiving updates after the January 14th patch. This decision, announced December 9th, 2024, concludes the game's ten-month run as a live-service title. Despite the ending of content updates, Rocksteady confirms that online features will remain accessible, allowing players to continue enjoying the game with friends.
Following a brief period of server downtime, Season 4 Episode 8: Balance is now live. This final update introduces a Libra-themed Infamy Set, powerful Notorious weapons, and a climactic Mayhem mission against Brainiac. Significant bug fixes, gameplay improvements (including reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels), and retroactive XP rewards are also included.
Thanks to December's Season 4 Episode 7 update, players can now experience the game's content, including the main campaign and seasonal story missions, offline. While Rocksteady hasn't announced server shutdown plans, this offline mode ensures continued access to the game even if servers are eventually deactivated.
For those yet to play, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is currently available on PlayStation Plus until February 3rd, alongside The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered.
