Pokémon TCG Pocket finally tackles trading in new update, but it\'s not coming until autumn
Pokémon TCG Pocket is making significant changes to its trading system, addressing player concerns about accessibility. The update completely removes Trade Tokens, replacing them with Shinedust. Shinedust is earned by opening booster packs and receiving duplicate cards already in your Card Dex. Existing Trade Tokens will be automatically converted to Shinedust.
Further changes are planned, including adjustments to Shinedust acquisition and a new in-game function to share cards you wish to trade. These improvements are expected by autumn.
The initial trading system faced criticism due to its restrictive nature and reliance on hard-to-obtain currency. These limitations stemmed from the need to prevent abuse within the digital trading environment. While the changes are welcome, the relatively slow implementation—with the updates not expected until autumn—may disappoint some players.
