Mister Fantastic’s Primary Attack in Marvel Rivals
Effective duelists need a strong primary attack, and Mister Fantastic's Stretch Punch delivers. While lacking a secondary attack, its versatility is surprising. This three-hit combo utilizes a single fist for the first two strikes, culminating in a powerful two-handed final blow. The stretched arm continues to deal damage as it travels, impacting all enemies in its path, creating effective area-of-effect damage. This is comparable to Storm's piercing Wind Blade attack in its multi-enemy potential.
Mister Fantastic’s Abilities in Marvel Rivals
Mister Fantastic possesses several powerful abilities; players should experiment with them in the training room. Each ability contributes to a damage-boosting passive. Fully charged, this passive becomes a formidable force. Key stats to monitor include health and Elasticity.
He boasts 350 base health, supplemented by shields for exceptional survivability. Elasticity, displayed near the crosshair, is crucial. Each basic attack generates 5 Elasticity; aiming for 100 Elasticity is key. Mister Fantastic has a 3-star difficulty rating, challenging beginners but manageable for all players.
Reflexive Rubber
- Active Ability
- 12 seconds
Mister Fantastic transforms into a rectangular shape, absorbing all incoming damage. Upon expiration, he unleashes the stored damage in the direction of the player's reticle.
Flexible Elongation
- Active Ability
- 3 seconds
- 30 Elasticity Generated
This ability grants a shield, boosting health from 350 to 425. He pulls himself towards the target, dealing damage to enemies or providing a shield to allies, offering both offensive and defensive options. It has two charges.
Distended Grip
- Active Ability
- 6 seconds
- 30 Elasticity Generated
Distended Grip allows Mister Fantastic to grapple a target, offering two options: Dash (pulling him towards the target) or Impact. Impact slams the grappled enemy into another nearby enemy, dealing damage to both.
Wedded Harmony
- Team-Up Ability
- 20 seconds
(Only available with Invisible Woman on the team) This ability heals Mister Fantastic for any lost health, but doesn't provide shields.
Elastic Strength
- Passive Ability
Each ability used builds Elasticity, increasing damage output. At maximum Elasticity, Mister Fantastic transforms, gaining significantly increased damage and a substantial shield. The shield decays after the transformation ends. Damage dealt is necessary to maintain Elasticity.
Brainiac Bounce
- Ultimate Ability
Mister Fantastic leaps and crashes down, dealing area-of-effect damage, then bounces to repeat the attack multiple times, devastating grouped enemies.
Tips for Playing Mister Fantastic in Marvel Rivals
Mister Fantastic's damage mitigation and shield generation make him surprisingly tanky.
Flexible Reflection
Combining Flexible Elongation and Reflexive Rubber provides shields for both Mister Fantastic and an ally, allowing him to absorb enemy attacks before unleashing stored damage.
Rushing Reflexive Rubber
Using Reflexive Rubber even when not focused on building the passive can increase the duration of his inflated state, maximizing damage and objective presence. His shields stack, potentially reaching a total health pool of 950 when combined with Flexible Elongation.
