"Infinity Nikki Players Threaten Uninstall Over Update 1.5 Changes"

Author : Elijah May 17,2025

The much-anticipated Infinity Nikki and its multiplayer-focused 1.5 update have finally landed on Steam, but the launch has been overshadowed by a series of issues that have stirred up quite the drama among its fanbase. Infold Games' stylish dress-up adventure transitioned from Epic Game Store exclusivity to Valve’s digital storefront, but instead of celebration, the community has been met with a range of technical problems, confusing design alterations, and demanding outfit requirements. The developers have issued an apology and promised compensation, yet the battle for Infinity Nikki is far from over.

PC players eagerly awaiting the Steam release were disappointed to encounter numerous technical glitches, from crashes to general instability that prevented the game from launching smoothly. While technical issues at launch are not uncommon, the community's frustration extended beyond performance concerns. The introduction of two new five-star outfits, Snowbound Ballad and Undying Ember, each comprising 11 pieces, has alarmed players who now face the prospect of up to 220 pulls—and significant expenditure—to complete these sets. This unexpected increase in piece count, without prior notice, has raised fears that future outfits might demand even more.

Adding to the confusion, Infold extended the Crown of Miraland: Peak Arena event from two to three weeks, leaving the community puzzled. Amidst ongoing technical issues and growing concerns over monetization strategies, the Chinese player base took to social media platform RedNote, sparking a widespread movement. Players worldwide are now rallying to boycott Infinity Nikki on Steam, leave negative reviews, and uninstall the game across all platforms.

"Holding back your pulls for a couple of days can help show we want IN to remain fun and fair for all players," Reddit user kiaxxl stated in a call-to-action post. "For gacha games, tracking how successful a new batch of content is usually measured on the first few days. Holding back your pulls for a couple of days can help show we want IN to remain fun and fair for all players."

The community's response has been notable, with Infinity Nikki currently holding a "Mixed" rating on Steam due to negative reviews warning potential players to steer clear until their demands are met and issues resolved. The backlash escalated to the point where Infold issued an apology letter across its official channels, acknowledging the technical issues and promising improved communication about future adjustments.

Apology Letter Regarding Version 1.5 Gaming Experience

Dear Stylists,

Infold's apology included plans to revert Mira Crown to end on May 16 and start the next season on the same day, alongside compensation in the form of 10 Revelation Crystals, 10 Resonance Crystals, and 1200 Diamonds. While some view these concessions as a step forward, others remain concerned about the persistence of 11-piece outfits and the studio's future plans.

I wish you would finally change the drop rate.. it can't be that I need 200 pulls to get a 5star and then you drop like 5 banners within weeks?! Make the rate lower or give us more diamonds to be able to get crystals.. this is not fun!

Despite the quick response from Infold, the community's efforts have not waned. Boycotters are urging continued pressure, with Reddit user EdensAsmr warning, "Think about it: CN players are pointing out that if we accept the 11-piece outfits and pity as it is, most new 5 stars will **be** 11 pieces. Imagine if every new major update has two 11-piece 5-star banners? That means you have to save even more to be able to handle it, and 70-80 pulls per patch will **not** cut it."
