While their acquisition and usage might not be immediately clear, this guide provides a comprehensive overview. All resources are conveniently tracked under the "Items" tab in your inventory menu.

How to Get & Use Bright Blood in Hyper Light Breaker

Bright Blood is the most common resource, earned by defeating enemies, destroying objects, and opening crates in the Overgrowth. Selling gear to Hub vendors also yields Bright Blood.

Use Bright Blood to:

• Loot Blades and Rails from corpses in the Overgrowth.
• Open Stashes and crates in the Overgrowth.
• Purchase gear from Overgrowth and Hub vendors.
• Upgrade gear at Hub vendors.

How to Get & Use Gold Ration in Hyper Light Breaker

Gold Rations are earned by completing Cycles. Early game, this involves dying four times and using all your Rezes. After depleting your Rezes, locate the NPC at the Hub's Telepad and provide the requested materials to reset the Overgrowth and progress towards Gold Rations.

Gold Rations are key to meta-progression. Use them at Pherus Bit in the Hub to unlock permanent upgrades. They also unlock new vendor services in the Hub.

How to Get & Use Abyss Stone in Hyper Light Breaker

Abyss Stones are obtained by defeating Crowns, challenging bosses found through Overgrowth gates. Remember, you'll need Prisms (marked by yellow diamonds on the map) before engaging Crowns.

Like Gold Rations, Abyss Stones are crucial for meta-progression. Use them during loadout confirmation to upgrade Sycom stats and unlock new characters.

How to Get & Use Key in Hyper Light Breaker

Keys are occasionally found in unmarked small containers within the Overgrowth.

Keys bypass Overgrowth barriers, granting access to Stashes and other containers. They also unlock Labs, subterranean areas with enemies and loot.

How to Get & Use MediGem in Hyper Light Breaker

MediGems are vital; collect them from small glowing flowers in the Overgrowth. They're exchanged for Medkits when deploying from the Hub's Telepad or visiting Shrines.

You must first expand your Medkit capacity to one using a Gold Ration at Pherus Bit in the Hub.

How to Get & Use Core in Hyper Light Breaker

Cores, another meta-progression resource, are found in Overgrowth Stashes (marked by chest icons) or by combining four Core Shards. Shards are earned from enemies that drop Prisms (yellow diamonds on the map) and from unmarked lootable objects.

Use Cores during loadout confirmation to upgrade your Sycom and improve Breaker stats.

How to Get & Use Material in Hyper Light Breaker

Materials are primarily obtained by using Bright Blood to open small chests (often marked with gems) in the Overgrowth. Selling gear in the Hub also provides Materials.

Use Materials to purchase gear from Hub and Overgrowth vendors. Similar to Bright Blood, but with more limited uses.
