Renowned for his stylish British crime dramas and gangster films—including the Robert Downey Jr.-led Sherlock Holmes series—filmmaker Guy Ritchie is venturing into uncharted territory. The newly released trailer for Fountain of Youth unveils an adventurous departure from his signature style, channeling the excitement of classics like Indiana Jones and The Mummy.

The film stars John Krasinski and Natalie Portman as estranged siblings Luke and Charlotte, who reunite to hunt for the mythical Fountain of Youth. Joined by Eiza González, Stanley Tucci, Domhnall Gleeson, Laz Alonso, and Arian Moayed, the trailer hints at shifting alliances, with not all characters aligned with the central duo.

The trailer teases a high-stakes race between rival factions vying for the fountain’s power. "There's a power beyond any of our comprehension," Krasinski's character ominously warns. "One story, five continents, dozens of cultures, and over a thousand years." Given Ritchie’s track record for gripping action, the ensuing battle promises to be nothing short of spectacular.

Fountain of Youth debuts exclusively on Apple TV+ on May 23, 2025—another casualty of streaming’s growing industry dominance, bypassing theaters entirely. Still, Ritchie’s latest promises a thrilling at-home cinematic experience.
