Extracting Items in R.E.O.P.: A Guide

In the co-operative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, your mission is clear: retrieve valuable items and survive amidst hordes of randomly spawning monsters. Successfully escaping with your loot not only feels rewarding but also earns you cash from the menacing AI Taxman, allowing you to stock up on essential survival gear.

Securing and removing valuable items involves reaching the Extraction Point where your C.A.R.T of treasures is tallied, and the Taxman permits you to proceed to the Service Station—ideally with a substantial amount of cash to spend. As you advance in *R.E.P.O.*, the extraction process becomes more familiar. What might initially seem daunting soon turns into routine as you master more levels and face off against more monsters.

How to Extract in R.E.P.O.

In your initial round of *R.E.P.O.*, you'll encounter only one Extraction Point. However, as you progress to new locations, this number increases, with a maximum of four Extraction Points available. You can monitor your required drop-offs by checking the red number in the right-hand corner of your screen, which also indicates how many you've already completed.

At the start of each level, the Extraction Point is consistently positioned near your R.E.P.O. truck, ensuring you know where to return your first haul of valuables. Subsequent drops can be more challenging.

After dropping off your first C.A.R.T.-full, continue navigating the level as usual. However, you won't know the Taxman's demands or the location of subsequent drop-offs until you reach the area. This is where your in-game map becomes invaluable. By pressing "Tab" on your keyboard, you can view unexplored areas, helping you plan routes and, if playing with others, coordinate efforts to cover more ground efficiently.

You'll identify the next Extraction Point either visually or by sound once you're in its vicinity. Upon locating it, press the big red button to discover your fate and whether you've collected enough valuables. If you have the required amount, place your C.A.R.T within the designated grey area to avoid damaging your items.

After completing an extraction, depending on the number of points left to find, you'll either move to the next Extraction Point by repeating these steps or attempt to return to the truck safely. Remember, after the final point is discovered and the valuables counted, you don't need to take the C.A.R.T back to the truck; a new one will spawn at the next location or level.
