EA has unveiled a new initiative titled *Battlefield Labs*, serving as an internal closed beta for upcoming titles in the *Battlefield* franchise. Alongside this announcement, the developers shared a short gameplay clip from the current pre-alpha build, offering a first glimpse into the future of the series.

Within *Battlefield Labs*, select invitees will have the opportunity to test core mechanics and experimental concepts. It's important to note that not all features tested will be included in the final version of the game. Participants must agree to an NDA before accessing various gameplay elements. The available modes during testing will include *Conquest* and *Breakthrough*. Initial phases of development will emphasize combat systems and environmental destruction, with balance testing to follow as the game evolves.

Pre-registration is now open for players across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Over the next few weeks, several thousand players will receive early access invitations, with EA planning to gradually expand availability to additional regions in the future.

The project is being led by four studios: DICE, Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect.
