Assetto Corsa EVO Launches Today, Challenging Gran Turismo and Forza
For enthusiasts of automobile simulators, January 16, 2025, marks a historic day. Kunos Simulazioni Studios will launch Assetto Corsa EVO on Steam in early access, offering an unparalleled driving experience. At launch, players will have access to 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Despite being in early access, the game boasts impressive physics, control systems, and realistic car behavior, setting a new standard in the genre.
A standout feature of Assetto Corsa EVO is its free-ride mode, allowing players to explore at their leisure. A major update planned for the summer of 2025 will introduce roads around the famous Nürburgring track. This fully laser-scanned open world will span up to 1600 square kilometers, with gradual expansions promised.
Assetto Corsa EVO aims to be the premier car simulator, rivaling industry giants like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport. The game promises photorealistic graphics and advanced physics, setting it apart from its competitors. At debut, the game will feature 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with more to be added through future free updates. Each circuit will replicate real-world conditions, including rolling tires or wet pavement, and animated spectators will enhance the realism of the experience.
The developers have also improved the dynamics of the automobiles, including suspension damping and shock absorption. The Driving Academy mode, available at the early access launch, will challenge players to complete the tracks within specific time limits. This single-player mode aims to help players earn a license, granting access to the game's most elite cars.
