Durak features two primary variations: "Flip Fool" (Durak podkidnoy) and "Transferable Fool" (Durak Perevodnoy). While sharing similarities, each variant presents unique gameplay nuances. The objective remains consistent: swiftly discard all your cards to claim victory, leaving your opponents as the "fools" (Durak).

"Flip Fool" represents the classic mode. When an attacker lacks a matching card to defend, the next player to the defender's left contributes a single card. Play then reverts to the initial attacker after successful defense. This cyclical pattern continues, with each player taking a turn.

"Transferable Fool" enhances the game's complexity and excitement. From the second turn onward, the defending player can "transfer" a discarded card by placing a matching-rank card of a different suit. This shifts the attacking role to the next clockwise player, who can further transfer, adding a strategic layer.
